I remember when growing up, my dad would be fascinated by airplanes. We would go to the airport and we would watch the planes land and take off and I always remember wondering where these people were going on their holiday. We took many holidays abroad during my younger years and the technical aspect of air travel always intrigued me (it still does), so it was great to be able to see the wheels fold away and the flaps on the wings move from our many vantage points.
This weekend we took a trip to our local airport and stood VERY close to the runway and I snapped this shot as the kids looked up and I thought it was a lovely picture of my kids looking up at an aircraft just as I had done all those years ago.
It was clearly a little too loud for their delicate ears, but they never once looked away.
Thanks for visiting and let me know what you think of my picture.
