Just a quick note to update you on BB and to thank you all for your messages.
What crazy couple of days we’ve had here in the world of DWB. As soon as somebody goes into hospital normality takes a holiday. Diets go out of the window. Savings are raided (Normally to pay for hospital food for mum or dad) and don’t even get me started on the subject of sleep. I’ve already nodded off twice in the time it’s taken me to type this far!
Anyway back to the point of this post.
BB is doing great. The operation was a success. They removed all fluid from around his knee. They found some dodgy stuff but nothing that should cause a worry so far.
His biggest worry so far has been the IV in his arm (For antibiotics) and what to have for lunch. The staff has been great, until your child is sick you just don’t appreciate how awesome it is having a national health service.
We know he is going to be here until Sunday so they can monitor him and his reaction to medication and then hopefully we can go home. Today will include more blood tests which hopefully will go better than last time!
As usual with hospitals it’s pretty boring and not the easiest task keeping a child entertained in one spot. We are taking regular trips around the hospital and I’m pretty sure people think I’m just a personal porter pushing the same child around.
Once again, thanks for all your kind messages it really is appreciated.
As always, thanks for reading.
